About the project
The airside pavement improvements comprised enhancements to aircraft maneuvering and parking facilities.
The project included four specific sections of work:
- Extension to Taxiway 08.
- Extension to the Southern Apron.
- Reconfiguration of Stand 16.
- Drainage, airfield ground lighting and reconfiguration of Switch House 1.
The works were undertaken within a live operational airport with specific restricted areas only accessible during short night-time possessions.
