About the Project

Belfast International Airport is investing €115 million to upgrade facilities over the next 5 years.

The first phase is to provide a new security building, adjacent to the existing terminal, that will have standard 3 D X-Ray screening, which cuts out the need for passengers to remove liquids from their bags.

The Department for Transport has mandated that all UK Airports are required to install 3 D Scanning Technology by June 2024. This new equipment will provide security staff with clear three-dimensional images of the contents of passengers’ bags and provide passengers with an improved security screening experience.

Our involvement has included pre-contract and post contract activities including target cost and contract agreement.
