About the project
As part of the National Environmental Plan 2000/05, a requirement was identified to provide appropriate treatment, under the Urban Waste Water Treatment Regulations 1994 to the crude sewage discharge from Polperro.
The scheme involved obtaining planning, necessary consents and the subsequent detailed design, construction, commissioning and testing of a new sewage treatment screening station.
The scheme provided sewer flows from properties connected to the existing outfall and a 330m sea outfall located in Polperro, Cornwall.
The works were cited at the base of a cliff adjacent to the harbour entrance.
