About the project

The works comprised the extension of the existing platforms on both the Up and Down lines to accommodate the six-car Class 4000 rolling stock, which require 146m useable length of platform.  The Down platform was no longer suitable due to the position of signal CL153 and switches and crossings for the Adelaide Depot.

Adelaide Station is situated in south Belfast adjacent to Adelaide Maintenance Depot, retail parks and a residential area, which represented a significant challenge for the teams in delivering the project.

Services provided include feasibility and optioneering cost planning, risk and value management, tender preparation and evaluation, construction phase cost management and financial reporting.
