About the project

This scheme is part of the flagship Bristol Temple Meads station refurbishment project for Network Rail Wales and Western region. The project involves structural and cosmetic repairs to the historic Grade 1 listed building. The project requires a complex 134m long, 5000m2 temporary works deck constructed above the live rail lines and platforms enabling works to be undertaken to the main train shed while this important regional rail hub remains operational.

The scope of repairs includes replacement of all main shed and canopy glazing, removal of existing paint systems, defect repairs to the structure, replacement timberwork and repainting of the structure.
