About the project
The main works comprised the complete renewal of the double junction (604Pts, 605Pts and a fixed diamond) Switches and Crossings unit at Lagan Junction with shallow depth switches on concrete bearers, ancillary Signalling and Telecoms works, and Electrification and Power works. Renewal of sections of the permanent way on both the mainline and the Bangor line were also included in the core works being undertaken by Translink’s permanent way framework contractor under a Christmas blockade.
Pre-contract services included cost planning, risk and value management, preparation of contract documents, and contract sum verification and agreement. Construction phase services included contract administration support, financial reporting, change management and final account agreement.
